My name is Micaela Deane and I grew up in Hastings MN - I have been married to my amazing husband Bryan for over 7 years.  We are parents to two loving cats that seem to require the same amount of attention as kids at times.  We love to travel and experience new places and we enjoy exploring new areas of the United States and outside of our country.

As a child I grew up loving to bake - my mom always told me I was such a great help in the kitchen.  Growing up I also remember wanting to bake with my girlfriends and they weren't always so excited about the idea, back then baking was adding the eggs, water and oil to a box mix and then finishing it off with frosting from a container.

It wasn't until later on in life that I realized that you could make a cake from scratch and wow what a difference that made.  I have enjoyed working with different scratch recipes and putting my ideas together to create some simply amazing cake and homemade frosting creations.

I started Mia's Cakes in November of 2014 - as I had made some cakes from scratch for a suprise party for my dad's 60th birthday, at this party so many people were extatic with how amazing the cakes were and once they found out I had made them from scratch many people mentioned that I should start a buisness and be selling these cakes.  So, here I am with my own cake buisness and working each and every day to make the perfect creation for each customer.

Starting out, I only made cakes - layer cakes, since then I have created cupcakes, mini cupcakes and cake pops.  Our layer cakes are really something special - you will have to try one for yourself!

Mia's cakes follows old family tradition and can be shipped directly from my kitchen to yours.
